Matariki

Created, and finalist in, the 2019 Geohipster Calendar competition. I really enjoy the look of star charts and wanted to try and created a map using this aesthetic. I was fortunate to have amazing Tikanga Advisors at LINZ whom I could consult for this map. This map has a special place for me as it was my first foot in the door of the cartographic world, and lately my two young boys have been teaching me even more about Matariki which they have learnt from school.
